My best advice for hiring a DJ

When I’m at the bridal shows I understand there is a lot of competition and we have to prove in a very short amount of time why we feel we are the best at what we do. I personally feel that I am proud to work for Moving Music because the owners are the first ones to say, “We are not about high pressure sales, people will come to us once they realize the value of what they are getting.” This is so true in any business. We are a team and we support each other 100%. When booking with us I want clients to know, we aren’t paid to be nice and professional, we are nice and professional, and that’s why we are the best at what we do. What are your thoughts?

Hiring a DJ? What do you look for?

Would love to hear your input on this one: What type of DJ do you want for your wedding? Backyard party? Your Bar? Restaurant? Anniversary? Party?

Do you go with straight up fun? Is cheesy ok? What is cheesy to you? or Moderate? Quiet? Serious? Classy or laid back? Well, you get the idea. Leave comments below, much appreciated. I will leave replies of what’s worked, hasn’t worked, and horror stories from the DJ’s view as well here.

Facebook promotion – friend or foe?

I recently started using Facebook to promote myself. I don’t spam, I add ppl I actually know, ppl add me, & I post where I’ll be DJing so ppl can come and see me. This has been working great and I’ve been having a lot of fun with it staying in touch with past, present, and future clients. I even tried to add a business account but before I could start it Facebook temporarily blocked me! I don’t know why and there’s no way to contact someone at Facebook for help to make it go away! Does anyone know how to fix this?
